B-HERO: CHAMPS & Discipline in the Secondary Classroom Training - August 2026 (Bismarck/Virtual)

Description

Every educator works to provide a safe and enjoyable learning environment for their students. This course focuses on how educators can reduce barriers to learning and increase motivation to achieve by creating clear expectations, managing disruptive students, and creating positive relationships. At its heart, the CHAMPS approach is designed to help teachers create and implement a classroom management plan that is proactive, positive, and instructional. Using practical strategies that set the stage for appropriate behavior, the teacher is able to focus on maintaining positive interactions. Students become more motivated and engaged in the classroom. This process improves the classroom dynamics by building a strong sense of classroom community. 

Objectives: Upon completion of the session, participants will be able to: 

  • Create a classroom management plan that is proactive, positive and instructional. 
  • Implement a classroom management plan that is proactive, positive and instructions. 
  • Use practical strategies that encourage appropriate student behavior.

Audience: K-12 educators, administrators, counselors, paraprofessionals

Format - In Person & Satellite Sites:

  • In Person location for both training opportunities is the CREA Bismarck Training Room.
  • Satellite Sites - Select this option to participate in this training OFFSITE with the presenter on Zoom. B-HERO Staff will be present to facilitate and support at additional locations. We will do our best to accommodate as many participants as possible in up to four additional regions - Devils Lake/Grand Forks, Valley City/Fargo, Watford City/Williston, Dickinson, and/or Minot.  We cannot guarantee a specific location or region.

Time

There are TWO Opportunities to engage in Safe & Civil Schools Trainings:

  • August 5th from 9:00am - 4:00pm CT (In Person OR Satellite Site)
  • August 7th from 9:00am - 4:00pm CT (In Person OR Satellite Site)

Pricing

$60 per Participant (includes full day training and a training book)

Invoices will be sent to your school/district/organization following the training, unless otherwise informed.
