ND A-PLUS: Formative - Navvy Essentials - Asynchronous Learning 26-27 SY

ND A+ Navvy Essentials is recommended as part one of a two-part learning series. Participants engaged in this learning will develop a comprehensive understanding of Navvy’s classroom formative assessment system by exploring best practices for system-level implementation, using the tool to support student learning, and applying insights to strengthen instruction and integration efforts.

ND A+ Formative (Navvy), a component of North Dakota’s balanced assessment system, complements Interim and Summative assessments to support instruction and is available to schools and districts that have opted into the ND A+ Interim Assessment; Navvy Essentials Training is provided to educators within those participating schools.

Session Objectives: By the end of this session, participants will be able to, 

  1. Describe the purpose and function of Navvy as a formative assessment system.
  2. Apply best practices for system-level implementation to ensure effective use across classrooms and schools.
  3. Use Navvy to support student learning by accessing and interpreting data within the tool.
  4. Integrate Navvy insights into instructional planning and ongoing teaching practices.

Graduate Credit Information: 3 cafeteria credit hours available for completing Navvy Essentials.

Navvy Essentials is open to North Dakota educators whose school or district has opted in to the ND A+ Interims for 2026–27.

ND A+ Navvy Essentials is an Asynchronous Learning during the 2026-2027 SY through the ND Educational Hub.
