CREA - NDSoR: Improving Reading Fluency- Fall Cohort 2026-Bismarck, Minot & Virtual

Description

Improving Reading Fluency supports educators in defining, assessing, teaching, and integrating reading fluency cross-content and grade levels. Educators will understand, evaluate, and practice practical, content agnostic reading fluency strategies to assist learners in improving reading fluency. One full day face-to-face session plus three one-hour technical assistance sessions will provide fluency strategy application assistance.

Objectives: Upon completion of this offering, participants will be able to:

  1. DEFINE the purpose and importance of reading fluency.
  2. UNDERSTAND and IMPLEMENT efficient and effective assessment and monitoring of reading fluency.
  3. EVALUATE a variety of explicit reading fluency instructional strategies and routines.
  4. CREATE a plan to integrate fluency strategies and routines in the classroom

Time

Improving Reading Fluency - Fall Cohort 2026 (Bismarck, Minot and Virtual)

  1. October 21st (8:30-3:30pm CT) - Facilitated Training (Bismarck OR Minot)
  2. October 28th (8:00-9:00 am CT) - Technical Assistance Session #1 (virtual)
  3. November 4th (8:00-9:00 am CT) - Technical Assistance Session #2 (virtual)
  4. November 16th (8:00-9:00 am CT) - Technical Assistance Session #3 (virtual)

Bismarck and Minot (Venue TBD)

This session is offered in TWO locations on October 21st - Bismarck and Minot. Please select session location during registration.

Pricing

Cost: $30/participant

*This training requires a minimum participant number to host.

**Cancellations must be made at least one week prior to the session. Participants who do not attend and fail to provide timely cancellation notice will remain responsible for any associated costs. Refunds and make-up opportunities will not be provided for no-shows.
