Description
Engaging Learners in Academic Vocabulary provides K-12 educators a practical, content agnostic instructional routine to support improved vocabulary development by effectively assisting learners in connecting and applying prioritized academic vocabulary. In addition, three one-hour implementation sessions will assist in day-to-day application of the academic vocabulary routine.
Objectives:
- Understand the purpose of explicit vocabulary instruction
- Identify academic vocabulary terms
- Evaluate a curriculum, content, and grade-level agnostic academic vocabulary instructional routine.
- Create a plan for implementing the academic vocabulary routine

**Cancellations must be made at least one week prior to the session. Participants who do not attend and fail to provide timely cancellation notice will remain responsible for any associated costs. Refunds and make-up opportunities will not be provided for no-shows.
