NDMTSS - PBIS Deep Dive: Coaching, Refining, & Tier 2 Supports (Webinars ONLY) (2026-2027) [Multi-Day Series]

Wednesday, November 4, 2026 (3:00 PM - 4:30 PM) (CST)

Description

PRE-REQUISITE:  This series is for school teams who have previously completed NDMTSS Developing Schoolwide Behavior Expectations / NDMTSS Positive Behavior Intervention Supports (PBIS) Tier 1.

DESCRIPTION:

From foundation to finesse—elevate your PBIS impact. This multi-day, virtual professional development is designed for school teams that have completed initial PBIS implementation and are ready to refine their systems.  During this webinar series, emphasis is placed on leveraging a strong Tier 1 foundation to implement Tier 2 interventions that provide focused, small-group support for at-risk students and help prevent the need for more intensive services. Participants will collaborate to share strategies and problem-solve challenges.

OBJECTIVES:

Coaching for Fidelity & Consistency Learn coaching strategies to support staff in teaching and reinforcing expectations. Use observation tools and feedback protocols to improve practice.

Refining Expectations & Systems Analyze behavior data to identify gaps and successes. Adjust expectations, teaching plans, and reinforcement systems for greater impact and equity.

Introduction to Tier 2 Supports Understand the Tiered PBIS framework. Design Tier 2 interventions such as Check-In/Check-Out, social skills groups, and targeted reinforcement. Align Tier 2 with schoolwide systems.

DELIVERY:  This multi-day learning series will be delivered as a combination of 6 90-minute VIRTUAL webinars. Participants will have access to the webinar recordings for the duration of the 2026-2027 school year.

AUDIENCES:  School NDMTSS leadership teams.  NOTE that it is strongly recommended that your full team attend the webinars, but your full team is NOT required to attend this opportunity.

Registration Instructions:  Please register all of your team members who want to attend the webinars on the same registration form, otherwise the system will force you to pay multiple times if you register team members separately.  If you need to change who on your team needs to be registered after the fact, please reach out to Chris.Thompson@k12.nd.us and they will update your registration on your behalf.
