The Trauma Sensitive Schools professional learning curriculum is a composition of five modules related to trauma; how trauma manifests in the classroom; the neurobiology of trauma and resilience; effective strategies to assist students experiencing the effects of trauma; understanding secondary effects of trauma; and creating a trauma-informed school culture. By becoming a trainer of this curriculum, educators can assist their schools in ensuring all educators have an opportunity to understand trauma and how to support students and families exposed to trauma.

Deliver TSS curriculum with confidence,
Understand how to access the ND Trainers Network,
Access trauma related resources,
Promote the TSS curriculum.
Requirements to become a TSS trainer include:
Participation in the Trauma Sensitive Schools professional learning series June 24-28 with completion of accompanying Notes Catcher,
Completion of Independent Study Log, diving deep into the structure of the professional learning curriculum,
Participation in a cohort resource review August 5th,
Completion of a teach-back session to gain positive feedback from peers on content delivery.
Trauma Sensitive Schools was created and disseminated in partnership with Nexus-PATH, the Central Region Education Association, and the Department of Public Instruction.
