As educators, we know that we must screen in order to intervene. While necessary and helpful, benchmark assessments aren’t intended to provide educators all of the necessary information to make the best instructional decisions. This session supports educators to maximize instructional time by leveraging diagnostic reading assessment tools to identify specific skills requiring additional support.
Objectives:
· Understand the purpose of reading diagnostic assessments
· Evaluate multiple curriculum agnostic reading diagnostic assessment tools
· Analyze reading diagnostic assessment results
· Create a plan for implementing reading diagnostic assessment
