SEEDS is an acronym for Sensitivity, Encouragement, Education, Development of Skills through Doing, and Self-Image Support which supports a relationship-based instructional approach. It serves as an educational framework within which adults can create a safe, inclusive learning environment with quality interactions. The mission of SEEDS is to make sure every child can read fluently by third grade.
This framework targets five early literacy predictors and five math predictors.
Early Literacy Predictors: Language, Phonological, Print, Alphabet, Vocabulary
Math Predictors: Comparison, Geometry, Measurement, Numbers, Patterns

Year 2 Participants -
SEEDS Coaching and ProMoT Assessment is a half day training followed by monthly virtual sessions. SEEDS Coaching will be introduced, modeled, and practiced utilizing a gradual release model. The ProMoT Assessment Tool will be introduced and used as a Benchmark and Progress Monitoring tool targeting 5 early literacy skills. It is a quick and easy web based application that is curriculum agnostic and provides results in minutes. SEEDS of Coaching utilizes a pre-observation (goal setting), observation (recording review), and post-observation (feedback) cycle. ProMoT data is analyzed for instructional decision making, monthly. Coaching is modeled by trainers and implemented by participants utilizing peer coaching through a gradual release model.
