Session Description: This session focuses on the key components to deliver behavior-specific praise, an evidence-based method of providing student feedback. By using examples of existing classroom management practices to support this type of feedback, and by considering the difference between BSP and general praise or corrective feedback, educators will leave this session with examples in their pocket to implement behavior-specific praise practices tomorrow.

Objectives: Upon completion of this session, the participants will be able to... 

• Define Behavior Specific Praise (BSP) and differentiate it from general praise or corrective feedback.
• Identify opportunities where BSP can be applied to reinforce positive student behaviors.
• Demonstrate delivery of praise that is immediate, specific, and linked to targeted behaviors.
• Develop a plan to integrate BSP consistently to increase student engagement and create a positive classroom climate.
